HPE Storage MSL Entry-level Tape Automation products helps SMB customers meet long-term data retention requirements while providing air-gapped protection against ransomware threats. The HPE Storage MSL 1/8 Gen3 0-drive Tape Autoloader supports a wide range of capacity options with LTO-9, LTO-8, or LTO-7 Ultrium drives, offering scalable, cost-effective storage for growing businesses. With HPE Command View for Tape Libraries (CVTL) - part of the HPE Storage Tape Library and Management Software family—the MSL 1/8 Autoloader is easy to manage remotely, minimizing the need for on-site IT support. Media management is simplified with an integrated barcode reader, configurable mail slot, and removable magazines. Optional data encryption guards against unauthorized access - even if a tape is lost or stolen. Quickly increase capacity and/or performance with tool-free drive upgrades or move tape drive kits to the MSL3040 or MSL6480 for scalability and additional enterprise-class features.

What is new supporting point:
HPE Smart Choice models with MSL tape autoloader featuring LTO-8 & LTO-9 drives are available with FC or SAS interfaces. These models can be quickly quoted and shipped through HPE authorized partners.
HPE Storage MSL Entry-level Tape Automation now supports Multi-factor Authentication (MFA).
